Brief Information About Us
- The BrillKids Foundation is the charity arm of the BrillKids Group, dedicated to ensuring that all children in the world may enjoy the benefits of early childhood education, irrespective of their background.
The BrillKids Foundation is currently in the process of being formally established as a charitable institution under the laws of Hong Kong. We expect to be granted charity status by the Hong Kong government in the latter half of 2011.
Our Mission
We believe in the importance of early learning and that parents and care givers can do a great deal to help children fulfill their innate potential, while also ensuring that the learning process remains fun, respectful of the both the parent and child, and engaging. The BrillKids Foundation has been established to ensure that every child has a chance to enjoy our educational products regardless of the child's family income or background. To that end, we aspire to give parents and caregivers of all children - not just the affluent - the appropriate tools and technology to develop the very young child's mind. We wish to be inclusive of families of all income levels and backgrounds as we achieve the following goals with our products:
- Foster early reading, mathematical, musical and creative abilities;
- Create a joyful, early literate environment in every home;
- Value the young child's feelings and interests;
- Respond to the very young child's natural curiosity about the world.
Our goal is to reach out to all children - and through the foundation, most especially to children in need. In doing so, we wish to instill all children with a life-long enthusiasm for reading and learning and to foster that child's search for meaning. Our goal is a world where loving parents and caregivers reach out in the earliest years of a child's life to set each child on a self-motivated quest to make meaning in life - a personal journey to reach his or her highest potential, attain self-fulfillment, and glean insight, understanding, and happiness.
What we're looking for in Volunteers
We're looking for people who wish to help our cause by making a difference - starting with your own locality.
As a volunteer, we would like to ask you to go around your community, looking for charitable organizations, orphanages, individual families with limited means who may be able to benefit from our learning systems. Depending on your capability and background, we will call on you to help us reach out to the underprivileged within your immediate area.
